This alternative version had some additional, extended scenes and a new post-credits scene (replace the teaser trailer of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)) which weren't seen in the theatrical version of the film, taking the total runtime to 157 minutes. An alternate version of the film (titled 'The More Fun Stuff Version') was announced by Sony Pictures in June 2022 and was later released in September 2nd of that year.
